MINISTRY IN JAMMU
The primary ministry of OCM is in Jammu and Kashmir, the northernmost state of India. Jammu and Kashmir consists of three regions: Jammu, the Kashmir valley and Ladakh. Srinagar is the summer capital, and Jammu, its winter capital. While the Kashmir valley, often known as Paradise on Earth, is famous for its beautiful mountainous landscape, Jammu’s numerous temples and mosques attract tens of thousands of Hindu and Muslim pilgrims every year. Ladakh, also known as “Little Tibet”, is renowned for its remote mountain beauty and Buddhist culture.KashmirPicture1

At the heart of Jammu-Kashmir Christian Fellowship is a passion to see Christ-centered churches established and growing in Kashmir, the least evangelized state in India. For more than seven years, God has used the ministry of OCM to touch countless lives with the Good News of Jesus Christ. But there are still so many who have never heard. We praise God for what He’s done – and a challenge to join Him in the task that still remains.

Expansion of church in Jammu – Currently, it can seat around 200 people. We need to increase the space to accommodate the growing number of believers.
Prayer is the backbone of our ministry, and we invite you to be a part of it. Thank you so much for praying for the ministry of Overseas Christian Ministries.

PROJECT ETHIOPIA BENEVOLENCE
Tom & Teresa Rieder live and work in the South Region of Ethiopia from a missionary base we’ve established in the town of Arba Minch. ethiopia From there, they serve the nomads located in the bush country of the Ethiopian Southwest up to the boundaries of South Sudan and Kenya. They also work with the largely isolated people groups who subsistence farm in high mountain terrains surrounding Arba Minch. They are involved in people’s lives, in the lives of their families, in their schools, their churches, and especially in their hopes and dreams of a better future. The mission strives to eliminate the misery of helplessness caused by the persistence of poverty in the home and the community.

MISSION STATEMENT:

To work alongside Ethiopian Nationals demonstrating and assisting them in self-sustainable methods for improving their lives and providing a better future for their families. Utilizing a variety of methods including water provisioning, agriculture irrigation techniques, training in hygiene and sanitation practices, ethiopia1 and helping to establish small business enterprises, Project Ethiopia Benevolence partners demonstrate the compassion and love of Jesus Christ in the process.

OBJECTIVES:

    • To repair existing water wells and provide pumping equipment, both powered and manual, to permit nationals and their livestock in the field to have sanitary (safe) water.

  • To conduct Bible classes, principally for children, but to as many adults as will participate.
  • To be faithful witnesses of the grace and mercy of our God, conducting ourselves in a manner that will draw people to Christ.

As the mission has grown in scope, we need your support now more than ever. Our prayer is that God will continue to work on the hearts of His people here to PRAY, GIVE, and even one day, to COME. ethiopia3
