The primary ministry of OCM is in Jammu and Kashmir, the northernmost state of India. Jammu and Kashmir consists of three regions: Jammu, the Kashmir valley and Ladakh. Srinagar is the summer capital, and Jammu, its winter capital. While the Kashmir valley, often known as Paradise on Earth, is famous for its beautiful mountainous landscape, Jammu’s numerous temples and mosques attract tens of thousands of Hindu and Muslim pilgrims every year. Ladakh, also known as “Little Tibet”, is renowned for its remote mountain beauty and Buddhist culture.
At the heart of Jammu-Kashmir Christian Fellowship is a passion to see Christ-centered churches established and growing in Kashmir, the least evangelized state in India. For more than seven years, God has used the ministry of OCM to touch countless lives with the Good News of Jesus Christ. But there are still so many who have never heard. We praise God for what He’s done – and a challenge to join Him in the task that still remains.
Expansion of church in Jammu – Currently, it can seat around 200 people. We need to increase the space to accommodate the growing number of believers.
Prayer is the backbone of our ministry, and we invite you to be a part of it. Thank you so much for praying for the ministry of Overseas Christian Ministries.
